The Opportunity:

The Accounts Payable Assistant will support the Finance Team in ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, expenses, and payment runs. You’ll play a key role in maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting robust financial operations as Lola Cars continues to grow.

Role Responsibilities:

• Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and staff expenses, ensuring accuracy and correct coding.
• Work with the purchasing team to resolve issues on GRN’s.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries in a timely and profes-sional manner.
• Prepare payment runs, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper authorisation.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of accounts payable activity.
• Assist with month-end closing, accruals, and reporting requirements related to accounts payable.
• Support implementation of process improvements and digital finance tools.
• Liaise with internal teams and suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and data integrity.

Skills required:

• Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills.
• Good working knowledge of Excel and finance/ERP systems (e.g. MS Dynam-ics Business Central).
• Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills.
• Proactive, collaborative, and able to work well in a team setting.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.

Qualifications & Experience required:

• Previous experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role (preferably in an engineering, automotive or fast-moving environment).

Role Location & Hours
The role will be hybrid - based at the Silverstone, Lola Facility with the option for some flexibility for remote working. 40hrs/wk - normal working days Monday to Friday.
